Óscar Tusquets
Trained architect, adapted designer, vocational painter and writer as a way of making friends, Oscar Tusquets Blanca is the epitome of a fully-fledged artist, and a nearly extinct species in today’s increasingly specialising world.
Born in Barcelona in 1941, he graduated as an architect in 1965 in the Higher Technical College of Architecture of Barcelona. Co-founding member of the former Studio Per, jointly with Lluís Clotet he carried out until 1984 most of his projects, some of which being:
Casa Fullà,
Casa Regás and its Belvedere, a house in Pantelleria and the restaurant
La Balsa. In 1975 he made, in tandem with his master and friend Salvador Dalí, the Mae West room in the Theatre-Museum in Figueres.
After years of uninterrupted professional collaboration with the also architect Carlos Díaz, in 1987 he teamed up with him to develop urban and architectural projects not only in Spain but also France, Holland, Germany and Japan.
